When working with data input, calculations, and data processing in Excel, there are times when you need to print out the information for easier reference. You can set up printing parameters before printing data in an Excel spreadsheet.

Step 1: Set up printing page settings.
If your Excel spreadsheet page isn't aligned properly, adjust some necessary settings to align it.
Paper Margins
1. From the toolbar, select Page Layout -> Margins -> choose a preset margin alignment.

2. You can customize margins as you wish by selecting: Page Layout -> Margins -> Custom Margins.

The dialogue box will appear, adjust the margins and then press OK.

Page Orientation
Select the Page Layout tab -> Orientation -> choose page orientation.
Portrait: vertical page.
Landscape: horizontal page.

Select Paper Size
1. Choose Page Layout -> Size -> select paper size.

2. To set paper size, select Page Layout -> Size -> More Paper Sizes.

Then set the paper size and press OK.

Choose Print Area
Select the area to print (highlight) then choose Page Layout -> Print Area -> Set Print Area.

Adjust the scaling of the print page
Choose Page Layout, in the Scale to Fit section, adjust the scale in Scale. You can shrink the document down to 10% and enlarge it up to 400%.

Print Cell Gridlines
When printing an Excel spreadsheet, if you want to print the gridlines, select Page Layout and in the Gridlines section of Sheet Options, check the box next to Print.

Step 2: Set parameters in the Print dialog box.
1. Select File -> Print (or press Ctrl + P).
2. The Print setup appears and preview before printing.

Set some parameters in the dialog box.
Printer: Choose the printer.

Settings: Choose the sheet or area to print, with options including:
- Print Active Sheets: Print only the current sheet or selected sheets.
- Print Entire Workbook: Print the entire Workbook.
- Print Selection: Print only the selected area.

Adjust various paper dimensions, paper size, margins...

Select the number of copies in the Copies section and once settings are done, press Print to start printing.

Now you have a complete printout from the data in the Excel spreadsheet. You can further customize some parameters if needed. Wishing you success!
