
1. Printing PDF Files without PDF Reader Software
If you lack PDF reader software, you can print PDF files using web browsers.
1.1. Printing PDF Files using Chrome Browser
To begin, you must open the PDF file using Chrome browser by right-clicking on the PDF file.
Select Open with then choose Google Chrome.

Your PDF file will open in the Chrome browser with a user interface as shown in the image below. You can review your PDF file right in the browser background.

Click the printer icon located at the corner of the browser interface. Alternatively, use the Ctrl P keyboard shortcut.
The Print interface will appear to show you the Total number of PDF pages to be printed, selected printer, and other related settings such as:
- Pages (setting the pages to be printed)
- Copies (setting the number of copies to be printed)
- Paper size (setting the appropriate paper size for the document and printing paper)
- Scale (You can choose to scale to fit the original PDF size 100% or adjust as desired)
After setting up, select Print to begin the printing process.

1.2. Printing PDF Files using Edge Browser
Similar to printing with Chrome browser, to print using Edge browser, you need to open the PDF file with this browser first.
Right-click on the PDF file you want to print, select Open with then choose Microsoft Edge.

You can review your PDF file on this browser's interface. Then, select the printer icon Print or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl P.

The Edge print interface will appear. You can choose the printer at the top left corner of this interface.
Below is the number of copies you want.
Orientation refers to the page rotation mode, either landscape or portrait.
Pages are the settings to view which pages to print.
Once everything is set, you select Print to send the print command.

With other browsers, most methods are quite simple and similar. Above, I've only demonstrated two browsers as examples.
2. Printing PDF Files with .pdf Reader Software
Currently, there are numerous software options available for reading PDF files, but the most popular ones include products from the giant Adobe: Adobe Reader or a lightweight option familiar to those who frequently use PDF files, Foxit Reader.
If you want a product integrated with many interactive features with PDF files, you can choose Adobe Reader; however, this guy can take up quite a bit of space on your computer. Whereas, if you prefer a lighter version, you can opt for Foxit Reader.
2.1. Printing PDF Files with Adobe Reader
Download Adobe Reader HERE.
After downloading Adobe Reader to your computer, open the software.
Firstly, open the PDF file you want to print using Adobe Reader. Select File in the top left corner of the toolbar, then choose Open.
Or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl O.

Select the PDF file you want to print then press Open to open it. After the PDF file is opened, it will have a interface like the one below. You can freely review or edit the PDF file using the tools on the right-hand side.

Click on the printer icon Print file on the toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl P.
The print interface for the PDF file will appear immediately afterwards.
Printer: Used to select the printer.
Copies: To select the number of copies to print.
Pages to Print: To choose which pages you want to print. Select All to print all pages in the PDF file, select Current page to print the current page (displayed on the right-hand side of the preview), select Pages with numbers to print corresponding pages.
Page Sizing & Handling: To choose the paper size when printing.

Once all settings are configured, select Print to send the print command to the printer.
2.2. Printing PDF Files with Foxit Reader
Download Foxit Reader HERE.
After installing Foxit Reader, open it up.
Open a file using Foxit Reader, click on the Open icon on the Quick Access Toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl O.

After opening the PDF file, you can view and edit your document using the editing tools on the left-hand side.
To begin printing the PDF file, select the print icon Print on the Quick Access Toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl P.

The Print interface will appear, where you can select the necessary settings:
- Name: Select the printer
- Copies: Choose the number of copies when printing
- Print as grayscale/Print as image: Print in black and white/color
- Print Range: Select the page range to print, you can choose to print the current view (print the page displayed in Preview – Current view), print the current page when clicking on the Print icon (Current page), or print all pages in the PDF file (All pages), you can also print specific pages (Pages and specific page numbers)
Subset: Again, select from the previously chosen pages. All pages in range to print all the selected pages, Odd pages only to print only the odd pages among the selected pages, Even pages only to print only the even pages among the selected pages.
Reverse pages: When you check this option, it means you choose to print all pages except those you have selected above.
- Print Handling: Select the size of the PDF file compared to the printing paper. After choosing the size here, you can directly view it in Preview to see if it meets your needs.
- Orientation: Choose the paper orientation, either portrait or landscape.
After selecting all the print settings, click OK to send the print command to the printer.
