“From both the audience and players' perspectives, professional League of Legends only has one truly captivating tournament (Worlds), which is too few. I think Riot needs to change the whole system, replacing MSI with more exciting international tournaments. This would greatly empower all Western teams,” - Odoamne shared.
Comparing to other games like VALORANT, DOTA 2, CS:GO, they all boast more international tournaments than League of Legends. This significantly amplifies the competitiveness among those games. Meanwhile, professional League of Legends is increasingly becoming the playground solely for the LCK and LPL regions.
Hopefully, Riot Games will heed the opinions of professional players and upgrade the League of Legends tournament system. Otherwise, in a short period, teams from Europe, North America... will merely serve as background for representatives from the LCK and LPL regions.
