(Motherland) - Project L is among the titles set in the League of Legends universe by Riot Games.
After a prolonged period of silence, Riot Games has recently provided players with new insights into the combat game based on League of Legends. This project is currently known as “Project L”. The latest information was shared through a developer discussion video posted on YouTube, featuring executive producer Tom Cannon and product director Shaun Rivera.

Additionally, glimpses of the battle scenes featuring the champion Illaoi in this project indicate that the character model is about 30% complete. Cannon revealed that Illaoi is currently undergoing internal testing at Riot and is in a playable state. He also mentioned an intriguing aspect that, in Project L, champions have a diverse range of movement options to facilitate various attacking strategies for players.

Meanwhile, product director Shaun Rivera remarked that certain champions will possess more specialized movement choices, especially in mid-air. The three gameplay mechanisms of Project L, previously mentioned, were also introduced in this video.

Shaun Rivera, the product director of this project, stated: “Initially, we developed Project L to be a 1vs1 fighting game, where two champions would engage in combat and only one emerges victorious. But about two years ago, we shifted towards fighting based on a support system called TAG. This system is very flexible with the aim of helping players unlock their creative potential. It operates in parallel with the champions, enabling two champions to collectively defeat opponents”.

Hence, it can be understood that in Project L, there will be two champions in battle. One serving as the primary fighter and the second acting as support (Assist). The features of the TAG system will enable gamers to create unique interactions between these two champions, promising to deliver visually stunning and exclusive combos.
