Krafton, the South Korean game studio, introduces a virtual character named Ana using the MetaHuman character creation tool in Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.The game developer states that this virtual character, Ana, will contribute to the development of the Web3 ecosystem, with the underlying framework being decentralized blockchain. Ana, from the renowned PUBG game developer, promises “astonishing realism and movement, coupled with deep learning capabilities.”
The integration of Ana into Web3 for ecosystem development remains unclear; however, Krafton has previously experimented with NFT and blockchain concepts. The game developer based in Seongnam, South Korea, aims to create a virtual 'youth idol.'This resembles what Riot Games did with the virtual music group K/DA, taking four characters from League of Legends and featuring the voices of Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, along with Miyeon and Soyeon from (G)I-dle for music videos catering to MOBA game fans:On another note, Unreal Engine 5 was previously used to create a demo set in the Matrix film series, receiving high praise for detailed graphics and the intricacy of the open-world environment.
