(Homeland) - After two consecutive years, Free Fire surrenders its grip on the Mobile Esports title to PUBG Mobile.
In the final days of this year, PUBG Mobile is buzzing with joy. Just a few days ago, the game officially crossed the $9 billion revenue mark. Recently, it has been recognized as the Mobile Esports Game of the Year by Esports Awards 2022.

Always in the nominee list, PUBG Mobile couldn't surpass Free Fire in the last two years. This year, the publisher invested significantly in improving gameplay and diversifying content, giving the game a competitive edge and achieving a spectacular victory over formidable opponents.

In this category, eight mobile games were nominated: Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Pokemon Unite, Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Call of Duty: Mobile, and Brawl Stars. In addition to the six perennial nominees, this year marks the debut of Pokemon Unite, while Wild Rift makes its second appearance since its launch.
Looking back on the past year, PUBG Mobile participated in numerous major Esports tournaments, including PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 (PMGC), PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023 (PMWI), PUBG Mobile Pro League 2022 (PMPL), and PUBG Mobile Club Open 2022 (PMCO).
Before celebrating Tet Nguyen Dan 2023, fans of this game can also tune in to the PMGC 2022. Here, the world's top 16 teams will compete from January 6 to 8, 2023, at the International Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia.
