You might think the fridge is only for freezing and storing food. However, it can efficiently clean clothes, especially jeans. Keeping newly bought jeans in the freezer drawer prevents color fading, a lesser-known fact.

Putting jeans in the freezer not only maintains their freshness and color but also eliminates unpleasant odors without the need for excessive washing, prolonging their lifespan.

When washing clothes, we often resort to various detergents and soaps to tackle tough stains. However, excessive use of these agents can accelerate color fading.

Step 3: To prevent jeans from fading, soak them in warm water with a splash of vinegar. Let them soak for about an hour, then wash them again in warm water to provide better protection against color fading during use.

You simply need to add a few tablespoons of salt to a basin of cold water, stir well, and soak the jeans in it for about an hour. Afterwards, you can take the jeans out and gently hand wash them.

By doing this, your jeans will always maintain their vibrant colors. After soaking with vinegar, wash them with soap to remove the vinegar smell. However, you need to rinse them thoroughly with multiple changes of water. Otherwise, the sour smell of vinegar will linger on your clothes, causing discomfort.
