Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processorA standout feature of the XR2+ Gen 2 is its exceptional 4.3K resolution per eye and 90 frames per second refresh rate. This marks a significant leap from the 3K resolution of the XR2 Gen 2, providing users with a sharper, more vibrant VR experience.
The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 also sees improvements in tracking capability. It can support up to 12 cameras and powerful on-device AI, enabling precise tracking of user movements and the surrounding environment in VR, facilitating more intuitive navigation and interaction in virtual spaces.

This SoC features a 15% increase in GPU clock speed and a 20% boost in CPU compared to its predecessor. Qualcomm has confirmed that the new SoC will be utilized in upcoming XR products from Samsung and Google. The company has also collaborated with at least 5 other hardware manufacturers, including HTC, to popularize its new platform.
