Qualcomm is set to introduce an ARM architecture-based chip in 2024 (Image: Qualcomm)The introduction of Apple Silicon M CPUs, based on the ARM architecture, for desktop and laptop computers has sparked a new trend. While PCs with x86 processors still exist, many companies are exploring the potential of the PC segment with ARM chips, including Qualcomm.
As Apple's CPUs are exclusive to the company's ecosystem, other PC manufacturers need alternative solutions. Qualcomm is working to provide solutions for companies looking to enter the ARM computer segment.

The company is reportedly developing a powerful ARM CPU for desktop computers. This CPU is expected to be launched around 2024 and is codenamed 'Hamoa' with a total of 12 CPU cores.
Hamoa will feature a 12-core CPU configuration in an '8 + 4' setup. The larger cluster comprises eight high-performance cores, while the remaining four cores aid in energy efficiency. This chip will also incorporate a GPU, although its power may not be exceptionally prominent.
