Recent leaks suggest that Qualcomm is gearing up to unveil a powerful computer CPU. Codenamed “Hamoa”, this new processor could debut in 2024 boasting 12 cores in an 8 + 4 configuration. A fresh report has divulged further details about Qualcomm's upcoming processor.
Reports affirm that the CPU will feature 12 cores. A previous report by developer Kuba Wojciechowski revealed that the cores will be in an 8 + 4 setup, comprising 8 performance cores and 4 energy-efficient cores.

According to indications, these are clearly successors to the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, with model number 'SC8280'.
Moreover, the trial model is also reported to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 5G modem. This indicates Qualcomm's intention to integrate its computer CPU with an embedded 5G modem, although whether the modem will be included in all chips remains unclear.
Furthermore, the upcoming CPU will utilize the new UFS 4.0 standard for connecting flash memory. This will increase transfer speeds and provide further performance advantages.
