If your family loves karaoke on weekends or gatherings, maximize your speaker and Smart TV for an easier experience. Let's learn how to connect these devices now!
Before connecting your speaker to Smart TV
Check if your TV has an audio output port like an RCA jack or a 3.5mm port, then get the suitable connecting cable for each port type.
TVs with a 3.5mm port will require a 3.5mm to RCA jack cable. For TVs with an RCA jack, choose a cable with two RCA ends.
How to connect your speaker to Smart TV for karaoke at home
- Step 1:
Plug the cable into the audio output port on your TV and plug the other end of the audio connection cable into the speaker, usually the RCA jack.
- Step 2:
Turn on your Smart TV, select and open the YouTube app or other karaoke apps available on the TV.
- Step 3:
Find and select the search icon, represented by a magnifying glass, located in the top left corner of the screen.
- Step 4:
Enter the song title on your Smart TV
that you want to sing karaoke to using the format “song title + karaoke”. In the image, select “This Spring I Won't Return karaoke”.
- Step 5:
Lower the TV volume to “0”. Then, turn on the portable speaker, adjust the volume to your preference, and adjust the microphone settings on the speaker
such as echo, bass,… to sing.
