Inspired by the design of the Galaxy S7, featuring a 3D curved back, dual 16MP cameras, fast charging capability, Always On display, and IP68 water resistance, the newly introduced Galaxy A5 2017 in Vietnam is priced at 8,990,000VNĐ.
Although still crafted from metal frame and toughened glass, the A 2017 generation from Samsung has shifted design language from the robust, masculine appeal of the A 2016 version to a softer, more premium feel with gently curved edges on the back.

The Galaxy A5 2017 maintains the 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full-HD resolution and 441ppi pixel density like its predecessor. However, the device now integrates the premium Always On Display feature, which shows time and notifications for messages, calls, emails, etc., when the screen is off.

Processing Power of A5 2017: Unleashed by the Exynos 7880 chipset with 8 cores clocked at 1.9GHz, paired with Mali-T830 MP3 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and support for up to 256GB microSD card. Quick experience shows that the Galaxy A5 2017 meets most user needs well, without experiencing any lag even when playing heavy games like Asphalt 8 or Dead Trigger 2.

Both cameras of the Galaxy A5 2017 feature a 16MP resolution using ISOCELL sensors with f/1.9 aperture. Samsung has also redesigned the camera interface to be more intuitive and integrated various shooting modes including Auto, Panorama, Hyperlapse, Night, HDR, Food, and Pro mode allowing customization of ISO, EV, and white balance settings.

The battery on the Galaxy A5 2017 is larger with a capacity of 3,000mAh compared to 2,900mAh on the previous version, and the device also incorporates extremely useful fast charging technology. Additionally, the Galaxy A5 2017 comes pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with the new Grace UX interface replacing TouchWiz on the previous generation. Samsung also commits to releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update soon for its 2017 A series.

Another notable feature of the Galaxy A5 2017 is its IP68 water and dust resistance, meaning the device can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Although it is water-resistant, the device is not designed for underwater use, but rather to mitigate risks when exposed to dust and water, so users need to understand and use the device as safely as possible.
