Does One Piece Feature Existence of Actual Gods?
The title of One Piece Chapter 1038 roughly translates to 'Kid & Law vs Big Mom'. Here are some key points from this chapter:
- The cover story continues with the Vinsmoke family saga: Niji and Yonji find themselves imprisoned in Mont-d'Or's book prison after their clash with Big Mom's crew. Thus, in the clash between the Germa family and Big Mom's pirates, the Germa group couldn't escape entirely as initially thought. It's highly likely that this mini-story will follow Judge's journey to infiltrate and rescue his two sons, taking advantage of the departure of Wano's main forces.
The chapter commences with several battle scenes unfolding around Onigashima. Firstly, there's a tense standoff between Raizo and Fukurokuju. Despite flames engulfing them, neither seems willing to surrender.
Zoro returns to Chopper after defeating King. Chopper worries about Zoro's condition after using the super recovery medicine of the Mink tribe. It appears Zoro was unconscious for a while.
- Lost in a haze, Zoro suddenly wakes up and raises his head, finding himself facing a white-clad reaper wielding a long scythe. The reaper intends to strike him down with the scythe.
- Transitioning to Izou's location. After staying behind to cover Usopp's group's escape, Izou has defeated all enemies. However, as Izou hasn't fully recovered from the previous battle and the enemies are too numerous, Izou sustains a few more injuries.

- Shifting to the weapons storage area. The fire demon has located the arsenal and intends to detonate it. Yamato attempts to stop the fire demon Kazenbo (controlled by Kanjuro) by directly attacking it, but it seems to have little effect.
- Changing scenes to Kid & Law vs Big Mom. Despite both using their ultimate trump card, awakening their Devil Fruit abilities, both Kid and Law still appear to be temporarily at a disadvantage against Big Mom.
- Big Mom, feeling bored by these two nuisances, decides to ascend to join forces with Kaido, only to be thwarted by the persistent attacks of Kid and Law.
- Kid and Law: Listen up, you old hag. Even if it costs us our lives, we won't let you set foot on that roof at any cost.
