The title of One Piece chapter 1047 is tentatively translated as 'The Citadel Sky'.
This week's One Piece cover features a double-page spread depicting the Straw Hat gang playing on the beach with Momonosuke in his dragon form.
The chapter begins with a brief flashback to the moment when Momonosuke was transported to the future during the chaos at Oden Castle. It's the moment just before Momonosuke decides to leap into the future in search of opportunities, and he catches a glimpse of Toki.
The chapter continues with intense battles unfolding between Kaido and Luffy. Similar to how the Five Elders spoke of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, its power is only limited by the imagination of its owner. The lightning bolt Luffy holds in his hand at the end of the previous chapter is a new move called 'Gomu Gomu no Thunder'. Luffy used it to attack Kaido.
Kaido argues that to dominate the world, Devil Fruit abilities are not the decisive factor, even combat skills are not. To illustrate his persuasion in his viewpoint to Luffy, Kaido uses Roger as a prime example.
Because Roger didn't possess a Devil Fruit and still managed to rise to the pinnacle of his era. Kaido believes that the new Haki is what determines everything because it's a power surpassing all. Afterwards, he unleashes a new move to attack Luffy.
Orochi being engulfed by Kanjuzo (Kazenbo fire monster) also helps him escape from the sea stone spikes that Hiyori thrust into him. Orochi quickly transforms into Yamata no Orochi to escape the collapse. Orochi's survival was predicted because his debt to Wano is too immense, killing him once isn't enough to atone for all the people of Wano.
In the spoiler image for chapter 1047 (not yet confirmed), it seems that all of Orochi's heads have fully regenerated.
Luffy had a quick conversation with Momonosuke to request him to do something to prevent the castle from being destroyed. Then, Luffy throws a punch larger than the castle itself straight at Kaido. The blow is powerful enough to destroy the entire castle if Luffy doesn't hold back.
The battle between Luffy (Joyboy) and Kaido is determined to have reached its climax and entered the decisive phase.
