Silencing and Resetting Instructions
To silence and reset the alarm: Open the access door and enter your master code twice. Pull down the panel covering the keypad, enter your 4-digit master code, wait 2 seconds, then re-enter it. If you make a mistake, press the pound (#) button and start over. The default code is usually 1234. This step may stop the alarm and reset various indicator lights. If the alarm persists, continue with the following steps:
If your alarm has a reset button: Hold it down for 2 seconds. This button is typically located on the bottom right of the keypad. The lights will change from red to green, indicating a successful reset. This also helps reset the low battery indicator upon power restoration. If your model lacks a reset button, proceed to the next step:
If the alarm persists: Enter *72 on the keypad. This command resets the smoke sensors, potentially stopping the alarm. Press the “Enter” button if available.
Instructions for Resetting Date and Time
Reset the date and time: Press *6, then input your master code followed by 1. To adjust the date and time settings on your alarm system, open the keypad panel and press *6. Enter your master code (default is 1234) and press 1 to confirm.
Set the time and date: Use the keypad to enter the time in 24-hour format and the date in MM DD YY format.
- For example, if it's September 20, 2022, input 09 20 22.
- If the time is 2:00 PM, enter 1400.
Save your changes: Press the pound (#) key to save your updated time and date settings on the alarm system keypad.
