(Motherland) - GAM and Levi appear to have plenty to improve upon at Worlds 2023.
On October 13th, GAM Esports (GAM) secured a crucial victory against Movistar R7 (R7) at the World Championship 2023 Group Stage. Apart from progressing in Worlds 2023, this win assisted the VCS representative in successfully 'repaying the debt' to R7. Previously at MSI 2023, R7 directly eliminated Levi and his teammates from the tournament.

This triumph by GAM demonstrates that the VCS representative has somewhat regained confidence and made improvements in team composition. However, this victory still cannot overshadow some weaknesses encountered by the VCS representative. Even the captain Levi of the 'black gold team' had to acknowledge this after the match concluded.
“Under normal conditions with good form, the coordination between me, Kiaya, and Kati is very good because the three of us have been playing together for quite some time. However, in low form circumstances, I encounter difficulties in coordinating with the Top and Mid lanes of the team,” Levi shared after successfully defeating R7.

If closely observing the recent match between the VCS representative and R7, viewers may sometimes notice the lack of coordination that Levi mentioned earlier still exists. In Game 1, Levi intended to lure the enemy's jungle deep into his territory to evade Jarvan IV's attack. However, this information was not relayed to Kati, partly resulting in his downfall.

Certainly, the handling of errors mentioned above are just a few 'blemishes' in the crucial victory of the VCS representative against R7. Levi and his teammates have improved significantly in lane management as well as coordination in team fights. Additionally, this victory also boosts Levi and his teammates' morale before facing LOUD.

Hopefully, the VCS representative will continue this winning momentum and address the weaknesses for the journey of Worlds 2023. Because if they surpass LLL, GAM itself will secure VCS a spot in the Swiss stage, reminiscent of the VCS Sunset 2023 finals with Team Whales.
