Method 1: Activate Online
Step 1 To activate online directly on your device, press the Windows+C key combination or move the mouse to the right corner of the screen to activate the Charms bar --> select Settings
Step 2 Once there, choose Change PC settings at the bottom.
Step 3 In the options, select Activate Windows if Windows is not yet activated.
Step 4 Click on Activate Windows to automatically activate Windows through the Internet connection.
If an error occurs during the activation process, you need to verify and enter some personal information.
Method 2: Activate by Phone
Step 1 To perform this method, go to Run, type Slui 4, and then click Ok.
Step 2 When the Windows Activation dialog appears, click on Click the nearest location, choose your country, and then click Next.
Step 3 In the next table, enter the numbers directly from Step 1 and Step 2, which are the ID numbers you need to answer when the hotline staff asks you. Step 3 is the activation key provided by the staff. Click Activate and wait for the activation.
Method 3: Activate with Key
Step 1 To enter the key, go to Run, type Slui 3, and then click Ok.
Step 2 The Activate Windows dialog appears; here, copy or enter the key into the Product key field and click Activate.
After successfully activating, click on PC info in the Settings section to view information.
A system information table will appear, indicating that Windows 8 is activated.
