Realme C3i - A Mighty Contender in the Budget Segment
Design Almost Identical to Its Predecessor, the C3
When it comes to the design of the Realme C3i, users will hardly find any differences compared to its predecessor, the C3. It still features the waterdrop notch display with minimal bezels on three sides and a thicker bottom bezel. The arrangement of physical buttons, ports, SIM slot, and microphones remains unchanged.
The screen on this Realme phone is just a regular LCD type, but it boasts a fairly large size of 6.5 inches. Although the resolution only stops at HD+, its outdoor visibility is extremely good and very easy on the eyes.

Being a budget product line, the frame of the device is naturally made of plastic but with a high level of finish, providing a solid grip without feeling flimsy like some other competitors in the same price range. The light effect patterns emanating from the camera cluster are still retained. Another advantage of the C3i is its ability to resist sweat and fingerprints when used for extended periods.
Comparing the C3 and C3i, the only noticeable difference between these two devices is that the Realme C3i only has 2 cameras compared to the 3-camera setup on the C3.

Hardware configuration slightly trimmed down
Reducing the price of the product also means Realme has to cut back on some features of its product, and the detail that stands out is the RAM capacity, reduced from 3GB to just 2GB. Powering the device is the robust octa-core Helio G70 processor, capable of handling basic daily tasks or even some moderately heavy gaming titles.

Performance still very strong within its price range
The 5,000mAh battery capacity continues to be a strong point as it provides users with a fairly long usage time. According to measurements, the device can continuously stay on-screen for over 9 hours at high performance mode, with both sound and screen set to maximum. A truly impressive figure for products in this price range.

The 5,000mAh battery capacity is a major plus point
Realme C3i still comes with the Realme UI 1.0 interface based on the Android 10 operating system, which has been highly praised by users recently. Users can perform quick actions such as swiping from the left or right edges to go back, swiping up from the bottom for multitasking, selecting square, round, or rounded square icons, or splitting the screen, among others.
Macro camera removed
Regarding the camera, Realme has made some changes with the C3i now only retaining 2 lenses with resolutions of 12MP and 2MP respectively. The lens that the company has cut compared to the C3 version is the macro camera. However, this reduction is understandable as the need for close-up shots on a mobile phone with a mediocre camera system is not really necessary.

With an aperture of F/1.8, the main camera performs well in normal conditions, but in low-light situations, the quality is only acceptable.
Overall, for a device as affordable as the Realme C3i, it's understandable to cut back on some features. However, if your usage needs are not too demanding, mainly for calls, watching movies, or playing light games, then this is clearly an extremely ideal choice worth considering.
