Realme Pad Design Assessment
The Pad features a frame crafted from aluminum alloy, giving it a premium look. With a thickness of 6.9mm and weighing 440 grams, it is relatively lightweight. The screen has slightly thick bezels, which affects the aesthetics to some extent but makes holding the device easier, preventing accidental touches on the screen. The lightweight nature also makes it easy to hold with one hand, suitable for reading, browsing the web, and watching videos.

When held horizontally, there are 4 speakers on two sides, the power button is placed on the left, and on the right are the Type-C charging port, volume adjustment button, two microphones, and a nano-SIM card slot, microSD card slot. The 3.5mm headphone jack is placed at the bottom right corner, which is slightly inconvenient as it may obstruct when holding the screen horizontally.
On the back, the Pad has a thin border running along the body and a camera creating a focal point. At the bottom corner is the Realme logo.

In terms of practicality, the Pad excels at running two applications simultaneously in split-screen mode, making it perfect for handling work and online learning. Another handy feature is Google Kids Space, allowing you to set up a dedicated profile for young children, controlling the content they access with Family Link.

Once the rules are set, the main screen interface transforms into a bright, child-friendly interface, and they can only access age-appropriate content including videos, books, games... This software also enables parents to monitor their children's usage time, which is incredibly useful.
Performance and Battery Life
Powering the Realme Pad is the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. This is an octa-core chip manufactured on a 12nm process, debuted last year on the Realme Narzo 10 smartphone with 2 high-performance Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Its performance has been proven to handle gaming well in its price range, so using the Pad daily won't be an issue.
There are two RAM options available: 3GB or 4GB, and either version performs smoothly with tasks like web browsing, reading books, video calls, and OTT (Over-The-Top) content. Although if too many tasks are running simultaneously, you may experience occasional lag or stuttering when scrolling, but this isn't a serious issue.
With four speakers (two on each side) supporting Dolby Atmos, the audio output of the Pad can be quite powerful, which is extremely useful when we need to use a tablet for work or online learning nowadays. Although the sound quality isn't top-notch, being loud and clear is already very practical.
The Pad's camera doesn't boast many noteworthy features, but the front-facing camera sports an impressive 8MP resolution with excellent clarity. Realme has tapped into users' psychology as nowadays using the front camera is almost a necessity.
In terms of connectivity, the Pad supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and 4G.
Realme Pad's 7100mAh battery offers quite a long usage time. Typically, tablet users tend to use them not too frequently, for activities like watching content on a large screen or reading news, otherwise they stick to smartphones. If your usage pattern aligns, this tablet might last 2 – 3 days before needing a recharge. Currently, with most parents purchasing tablets for online learning, the Pad can at least last a day with morning, afternoon, and evening usage. Its 18W charger supports fast charging, filling up the battery in just 3 hours, and the device also supports reverse charging technology.
What is the price of Realme Pad?
The Realme Pad comes in two versions: Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE. Currently, there are three variants:
- Realme Pad Wi-Fi only version, with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, priced around 4.3 million VND
- Realme Pad Wi-Fi + LTE version, with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, priced around 4.9 million VND
- Highest variant Realme Pad Wi-Fi + LTE, with 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, priced around 5.6 million VND
The price of Realme Pad can be surprisingly affordable, especially considering its specifications are comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 (priced at 6.9 million VND). Although it still has some drawbacks, overall, the Pad meets most users' requirements for an inexpensive tablet: premium design, lightweight, good performance, decent display, loud sound, and long battery life. So, if calling the Realme Pad a 'dark horse' in the budget segment, it's entirely justified.
If you're looking for a tablet to use in today's social context, then Realme Pad is definitely a top recommendation for you.
