Realme teases a fresh pair of vertically and horizontally folding smartphones, poised for a showdown with Samsung

While Samsung has dominated the foldable smartphone market for several years, the Korean tech giant is soon to confront competition from Chinese brands, with Realme being a prominent contender.

Specifically, the company has recently confirmed its work on new vertically and horizontally folding screens to compete with counterparts from Samsung.

As evident from CEO Madhav Sheth's inquiry to fans, Realme is pondering whether the next product should be Realme Flip or Realme Fold. This indicates the company might be planning to release both vertically and horizontally folding smartphones in the near future.

In November 2022, Realme China's Vice President, Xu Qi, discussed the company's future plans. According to him, the company will unveil two phones from the GT Neo series, two phones from the numbered series, and one phone from the GT series each year. Xu Qi also mentioned that the company is actively working on an affordable foldable phone.

Realme Flip and Realme Fold, as mentioned by Sheth in the tweet, seem not to be the official names. Therefore, let's wait and see what surprises the company has in store for fans!
