Sty1e remains deserving of the trust of GAM and VCS fans at MSI 2023.
In Spring 2023, if one name had to be singled out for criticism on the GAM side, it would undoubtedly be Sty1e. Despite not having flashy visuals like Levi or causing any current trouble, Sty1e continues to be called out even when GAM is winning. He is even asked to substitute whenever GAM has 1 or 2 unfavorable matches. However, all current statistics indicate that GAM's Marksman is performing effectively.

But in reality, GAM and VCS viewers still have every reason to trust their Marksman at the upcoming MSI 2023.
Alignment with GAM's playstyle
It's evident to everyone: Sty1e fits perfectly with GAM's playstyle, which is why he was recruited. This deal once sparked heated debates within the VCS community. Many GAM fans even turned their backs after hearing the news. The reasons were entirely unrelated to skills and were just a misunderstanding related to Faker. Subsequently, Sty1e's successes with GAM are the clearest evidence of the black and gold team's vision.

Sty1e doesn't require constant 'babysitting' from his team throughout the match like many of his counterparts in other teams. Furthermore, even in losing phases, Sty1e still manages to shine towards the end of the game. Although sometimes his performances in team fights aren't enough to turn the tide, Sty1e consistently demonstrates excellent damage dealing positioning. Opponents often have to exhaust all their skills and support spells just to catch him. This sets the stage so that even if he gets taken down, his teammates can still perform well in team fights.
Handles pressure well
Perhaps there hasn't been a transfer deal in the VCS with as much trouble and controversy as when Sty1e joined GAM. It can be said that he has lived under pressure since donning the black and gold jersey. Yet, up to now, Sty1e has still fulfilled his duties admirably.

Not many players can face such pressure and still perform well, typical examples being even superstars from the LCK and LPL who struggle when caught up in controversies. But Sty1e continues to perform, despite facing constant criticism. That's the quality a big team like GAM needs in its core players.
Development potential
Sty1e has been competing for many years, but in reality, he's only 21 years old (the same age as young stars like Gumayusi, Keria...) and therefore, Sty1e's potential is still immense. Moreover, he has the significant advantage of constantly battling alongside GAM on the international stage. These experiences will undoubtedly provide the Marksman born in 2002 with valuable insights.

While Sty1e may still often make mistakes, or he may frequently fall victim to focused enemy attacks, up to this point, Sty1e always knows how to play in a way that secures victory for GAM. And for the VCS champions, that's more than enough for a position that's always seen as their weakness.
