The crispy outer layer and soft inner filling of fried gimbab will captivate anyone. Not only perfect for office lunches but also ideal for picnics!
'First comes kimchi, second comes gimbab,' or simply 'kimbab,' is one of the most popular dishes in Korea. 'Kim' means 'dried seaweed,' while 'bap' means 'rice,' the name may sound simple, but its flavor is incredibly enticing. Today, you can enjoy traditional gimbab or fried gimbab with a crispy coating that enhances its appeal.
Let's get started with making fried gimbab for the whole family to enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3 Sheets of seaweed
- 1 bowl of hot rice
- 4 sausages
- 1 carrot
- 1 cucumber
- 4 eggs
- Tempura flour
- Cooking oil, salt

Instructions
Step 1: Cook rice until done, ensuring it's slightly sticky but not too sticky. Use just the right amount of water so the grains are fluffy and not too sticky together.
Step 2: Soak cucumbers in water, wash thoroughly, peel, and slice into strips.
Boil the carrots until tender, then slice into thin strips.
Beat 2 eggs with a pinch of salt, then spread thinly. Fold and slice. Thinly slice the sausages. Arrange all ingredients neatly in a large tray.
Step 3: Place seaweed sheets on a clean cutting board. Note: Place the smoother side of the seaweed facing down and the rougher side facing up.
Step 4: Spread a thin layer of rice over 2/3 of the seaweed sheet. Place cucumber strips, sausage slices, eggs, and carrots on top.

Step 5: Roll slowly and evenly to ensure evenness and prevent ingredients from shifting.
Step 6: After finishing rolling, beat the remaining 2 eggs, roll the gimbab in the eggs, then roll in tempura flour.
Step 7: Heat oil until boiling (it's better to use a bit more oil), then fry the gimbab until evenly golden brown.
Finally, remove the gimbab, drain excess oil, then use a sharp knife to cut into bite-sized pieces.

There you have it, a delicious dish for the whole family to enjoy!
Note: For the filling of the rice roll, you can add pork, crab sticks, or broccoli to enhance the flavor.
You can mix 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, and 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise together to create a perfect dipping sauce for fried gimbab.

Wishing you success!
