Ingredients for Crispy Fried Quail with Tamarind Sauce:
- 10 quail eggs
- 1 tablespoon of dried tamarind
- 50ml warm water
- 1 hen's egg
- 30g wheat flour
- 50g tempura flour
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Seasonings: fish sauce, sugar
How to Cook Crispy Fried Quail with Tamarind Sauce:
Step 1:
Boil the purchased quail eggs until cooked through.
Step 2:
While waiting for the eggs to cook, soak the spoonful of dried tamarind in warm water for about 5 minutes. Then stir well until the tamarind dissolves, then strain to remove all seeds.

Step 3:
When the eggs are cooked, remove them, place them in a bowl of water to cool quickly, then peel the shells off.
Step 4:
Beat the hen's eggs, add wheat flour, along with ¼ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of sugar, then mix well by hand.
Step 5:
Using a spoon, scoop the boiled quail eggs into the egg bowl, then roll them in tempura flour before releasing them into the frying pan.
Note: Make sure the oil is hot and there is enough oil to evenly brown the eggs.
After frying, remove them and let them drain excess oil.
Step 6:
Peel and crush the garlic, then in another pot, sauté the minced garlic with oil until fragrant, then add the tamarind and stir.

Next, add sugar and fish sauce to taste, then simmer until the mixture thickens.
Finally, add the fried quail eggs, toss well in the pot for about 1 minute, then turn off the heat.
Now the crispy fried quail dish is ready, take it out and enjoy it while it's hot!

Don't forget to add some Vietnamese coriander for that authentic flavor.
Wishing you a delightful meal!
