Have you ever had a truly memorable experience? I have, and it was a very special mountain climbing experience.
Being born and raised in the city, I was only accustomed to using elevators or climbing stairs, never experiencing what mountain climbing was like. Fortunately, last Sunday, our class organized a mountain climbing experience. The location was the mountain at Thay Pagoda, located in the outskirts of Hanoi, about 10 kilometers from my school. My first impression when I arrived was the cool, shady courtyard covered with ancient trees, the ancient beauty of the temple, along with the quiet space, the sound of bells, and the echo of wooden fish making me feel like I was in a completely different world.
After visiting the temple, we were divided into small groups to support each other in completing the mountain climbing experience. My group consisted of 5 friends, 3 girls and 2 boys, all of whom were close friends. The first steps were easy and wide, so it was easy to walk, but as we climbed higher, the stairs became narrower and steeper, with some straight sections causing a feeling of fear. We had to hold each other tightly, chatting and cheering each other on as we walked. Sometimes, due to tiredness, we had to stop and rest for a while, only then did we realize that mountain climbing could be a great way to improve our health. Thanks to the solidarity, help, and determination of our group, we finally reached the summit, the feeling of victory at that moment was indescribable.
Mountain climbing experience not only helped me strengthen my legs, improve my health, but also taught me perseverance, resilience, and determination.
2. Recounting a personal experience, Sample 2 (Standard)
Last Sunday, our school organized an experiential activity for the entire student body, which was a fire rescue experience.
On Sunday morning, my mother brought me to school, and as soon as I arrived, I saw a very large fire truck parked right in the schoolyard along with many firefighters. At the beginning of the experience, we listened to the sharing of the real heroes, the firefighters. Listening to stories from within the fire, the tense moments of fighting for people's lives, I felt very respectful and grateful to the firefighters.
After the conversation, we experienced firefighting in a simulated scenario where our classroom was on fire. In that situation, we placed a large gas cylinder in the classroom and lit it on fire, the flames looked very scary. We were taught how to evacuate, bending down and running quickly out of the fire. When we noticed there was a fire, we were taught how to use a fire extinguisher, which was the first time I had seen many extinguishers but the first time experiencing holding one to extinguish the fire. Both I and other students were very excited and serious in this experience. The value of the experience not only helped us gain knowledge, skills but also taught us how to protect ourselves and others from fire.
After that experience, I also want to become a firefighter in the future, even though I know it's a difficult and dangerous profession, but I still want to do it to be able to help and save people.
3. Recounting a personal experience, Sample 3 (Standard)
Swimming is an important skill for everyone, especially for children and students. That's why last week I was allowed by my parents to experience swimming lessons.
The place where I experienced swimming for the first time was the school swimming pool, where I learned to swim with many other classmates, with teachers guiding us. The teacher was a former national swimming team athlete, so she was very professional and experienced. On my first day of swimming, I was very afraid of water and shy. First, I was embarrassed to wear a swimsuit, seeing everyone looking so nice in their swimsuits made me feel insecure and ashamed. Thanks to the encouragement from the teacher, I felt less embarrassed and changed clothes to join the class with my classmates. In the first lesson, the teacher helped us get used to the water, get used to the feeling underwater, I kept choking on water because I didn't know how to control my breathing. Our bodies will naturally float if we know how to adjust, and I tried hard to achieve that.
