GUIDE TO RECOVER DATA ON ANDROID WITHOUT ROOTING
If you haven't rooted your Android device yet, follow the steps below to recover data on your phone or tablet. Since the article is a bit lengthy, you can read through it a few times before proceeding.
- General Requirements:
+ Installed USB Driver for your device on the computer
+ No need to root your device
+ Download Ultimate Backup Tool
+ Enable USB Debugging on your phone (refer to the guide enable USB Debugging on Android)
+ Go to Settings => Security => Unknown Sources => check Unknown sources
- Implementation:
Step 1: Extract UBT.zip file
Extract the UBT.zip file you downloaded above for usage, remember to place them in a separate folder for quick access.
Step 2: Set up your phone
On your phone, go to Settings => Developer Options => Desktop backup password and set a password. Leave the first box empty to use the default setting.

Step 3: Connect your phone to the computer
Connect your phone to the computer and run the UBT.bat file. A new dialog box will appear, and you can read some information related to your device. Look for the line “List of devices attached” which indicates that you have successfully connected.
Step 4. Backup and Restore Data
4.1. Backup Data on Android without Rooting
Before restoring data on Android without rooting, you select different options. Choose option 2 to back up all the apps you previously installed. A new window will appear. You need to re-enter the set password. Select Back up my data as shown below and execute this process. Once the data backup is complete, your phone will return to the home screen.
4.2. Restore Data on Android without Rooting
Follow the same steps as backing up data on Android without rooting, but instead of selecting option 2, this time select option 8 to Restore data for the device. If the device asks for a password, enter it and select Restore my data. Wait for this process to complete, and it will return to the home screen.
