Recently, the company unveiled a modified version of Redmi Note 12 Pro+, integrating the 300W super-fast charging technology for a 5-minute full battery charge. Additionally, the company is preparing to mass-produce the 300W super-fast charging technology, aiming to set a new standard for Redmi phones in the near future.

Specifically, the modified version of Redmi Note 12 Pro+ comes equipped with a 4100mAh battery. The 300W super-fast charging technology achieves a 50% battery capacity in just 2 minutes and a full charge in 5 minutes. The maximum power that the new charging technology reaches is up to 290W, nearly equivalent to the announced 300W.
The 300W super-fast charging technology is a remarkable achievement from Xiaomi's development team. To achieve such speeds, the manufacturer utilized innovative designs and new materials throughout the charger, phone charging structure, and battery. Additionally, the new charger integrates gallium nitride (GaN) technology, maintaining the size of the 210W charger while adding 43% power and achieving a power density of 2.31W/cm³.

The architecture combined with the customized 6:2 charging pump chip delivers a maximum conversion efficiency of up to 98%. This addresses issues of overheating on the conductive wire during the transmission of large currents and limits temperature rise from the charging source. Furthermore, energy pump chips will be designed in a centralized layout to minimize simultaneous temperature increases, enabling the charger to reach peak power in just over 2 minutes.
Redmi's 300W super-fast charging technology marks a significant breakthrough in current fast charging standards, potentially altering users' phone usage habits. Being able to charge a 4100mAh battery in just 5 minutes eliminates concerns about running out of battery while on the move. Moreover, this represents a major leap forward in the field of electric vehicles.

Currently, it's unclear when Redmi will introduce the 300W super-fast charging technology to commercial phones. However, with the success of the modified Redmi Note 12 Pro+, the time for super-fast charging technology to appear in the market seems not too distant.
