A Tale of Unfamiliar Feelings and First Experiences in High School
Write-up:
Beyond the days of middle school, half naive, half foolish, donning white uniforms, red scarves, and carrying books, we marched to school. Back then, we assumed ourselves as children, hardly knowing what worry meant. The most significant thoughts were about studying and playing. But today, stepping into high school for the first time, there have been significant changes within me invisibly.
In a classroom with over forty students, I felt truly unfamiliar and somewhat awkward. I wanted to shrink into a small corner, not as a first-grader with the intention to cry anymore. But the feeling of being a bit lost still lingered in my mind. The first day I entered high school was also my first opening ceremony in my high school journey. Compared to the junior high school yard with a few hundred students, this courtyard, accommodating nearly 2000 students, overwhelmed me. Boys dressed neatly in uniforms, looking bright and tidy, and our girls experienced a new sensation in the graceful white ao dai. We no longer wore the bright red scarf. Honestly, I am not fully accustomed to wearing ao dai yet, but I find it beautiful and feel proud to wear the lovely ao dai that my mother made a month ago.
The opening day was a beautiful sunny day, the sky was deep blue, and occasionally, a few white clouds floated across the sky like fluffy cotton. The opening ceremony went smoothly, and I saw the majestic, beautiful school building. My heart felt happy and excited, though I kept it hidden inside.

This essay expresses emotions about the initial steps into Duong Xa High School by a 10th-grade student.
Write-up:
In everyone's life, there are undoubtedly significant turning points. It could be the first time you uttered a shaky word, the first time you took tentative steps, or the first time you carried books to school. For me, leaving the deepest impressions was the day I first entered Duong Xa High School.
I believe that everyone had a myriad of indescribable emotions on that day. Prior to that, we went through a long and stressful preparation period to secure a spot in some public high school. For me, it was a challenging time as I ranked near the bottom of the class, especially in Math. There were moments of pressure from assignments, teachers, family, and times when I contemplated giving up. However, a hand rested on my shoulder, saying, 'Keep trying, you will surely succeed!' Those were the words of my literature teacher that gave me extra motivation. And so, I relentlessly tried and achieved success, which is today. I walked straight and passed through the gates of the high school I always dreamed of, a place many students like me aspired to be.
On that day, I remember it was around mid-August, also the enrollment day, receiving the class and teacher assignments. After the loudspeaker announcement, many students like me formed lines. We learned about our classes from a board near the school gate. The first impression upon entering the school for me was the spacious schoolyard. Previously, I studied in a village school with a much smaller yard.
