The Museum of History – Ho Chi Minh City was established on August 23, 1979, based on the incorporation of the “Vietnam National Museum in Saigon”, which exhibits ancient art from several Asian countries.

Ho Chi Minh City Museum

After the reunification of the country, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City decided to use this building as the Ho Chi Minh City Revolutionary Museum on August 12, 1978. It was renamed the Ho Chi Minh City Museum on December 13, 1999, as it is known today.
