Guide to Removing Logos in Photoshop CS6 Using Patch Tool
The process of removing logos in Photoshop CS6 is similar to other versions of the software. You can follow the instructions in 4 simple steps below.
Step 1: Duplicate the original layer to perform edits
After turning on Photoshop CS6 software, open the image file you want to remove the logo from. Note that the software won't allow you to edit directly on the original file. To remove the logo from the image, press CTRL + J or right-click on the icon of the original image on the toolbar at the bottom right corner of the screen and select Duplicate Layer.
Step 2: Activate the Patch Tool editing tool
On the toolbar located by default on the left side of the screen, you'll see a variety of different tools. In the second tool group, right-click on the patch icon and then left-click to activate the Patch Tool. If you can't find this icon on the toolbar, press the J key on the keyboard and select the Patch Tool as usual.
Step 3: Select the area to be removed
The Patch Tool function has been activated. Now, you simply left-click and move the mouse around the area of the logo to be removed. The closer you select the area to the logo, the better.
Step 4: Move the selected area
After selecting the area around the logo, left-click on the selected area. Hold down the mouse and drag the selected area to another area with a similar background color, and then release the mouse. Immediately, the logo will be completely removed from the image without compromising its aesthetics as illustrated below.
