To avoid losing money without understanding why, it's advisable to remove payment methods from iTunes, delete Visa, MasterCard, Amex from your iTunes account if you no longer need them, and limit risks and incurred costs.

If you've previously linked your Visa, MasterCard, etc., with iTunes or AppStore to purchase songs, apps, paid games that you no longer use, you can remove payment methods from iTunes to ensure that your account information isn't exposed every time you lend your iPhone, iPad, avoiding financial loss.

GUIDE TO REMOVE PAYMENT METHODS ON ITUNES

Step 1: Log in to your Apple account linked to the payment card on iTunes.

Step 2: After logging in, select Account -> View My Account… to update your account information.

Step 3: In the Payment Information section, choose Edit to modify payment details and remove iTunes payment cards here.

Step 4: You can further change or delete your payment account under Payment Type. To delete your payment account, select None and your account will not be linked to any payment card. You can still freely download free apps on AppStore without a payment card.

Step 5: You can update certain personal payment information in this section. After removing the payment card on iTunes, scroll down and select Done to complete the payment information update.
