Spending almost a year at house number 5 Châu Văn Liêm, President Ho Chi Minh engaged in various occupations before boarding a train to seek ways to save the country.
Residence where Uncle Ho Stayed in Saigon

In 1910, President Ho Chi Minh, then named Nguyễn Tất Thành, arrived in Saigon and stayed at house number 1-2-3 Bến Testard (now Châu Văn Liêm Street, District 5) from September 1910 to June 1911. Among those three houses, one was preserved as a historical relic, located at number 5, Châu Văn Liêm.
This house served as one of the headquarters for Liên Thành Company – a revolutionary organization established by patriotic intellectuals. The organization financially supported young Nguyễn Tất Thành's journey to France to seek ways to save the country in 1911.
The house has been renovated but still maintains its old structure, with two floors, approximately 4 meters wide, and nearly 9 meters deep.

The first floor of the memorial houses an altar, along with paintings, maps of ancient Saigon, activities, and intellectuals who influenced President Ho Chi Minh.
Throughout his time at this house, Uncle Ho taught, worked at a machine shop, and sold newspapers at the port to make a living. He explored the lives of laborers and the comings and goings of ships at the Saigon port. This period was crucial for young Nguyễn Tất Thành in preparing materially, mentally, and logistically for his journey to save the country.

A corner on the ground floor displays images related to Liên Thành Company and some places where Uncle Ho visited in Saigon.

House number 185/1, Dumortier Street, Rạch Bần bridge area (now Cô Bắc Street, District 1), is where young Nguyễn Tất Thành stayed for a few days upon arriving from Phan Thiết to Saigon.

House number 88/5, Lê Lợi Boulevard, where Uncle Ho and intellectuals of the revolutionary organization Liên Thành gathered for lectures.

The wooden staircase leading to the second floor is quite narrow. Next to it is a wall painted with a scene of Nhà Rồng Wharf, where President Ho Chi Minh boarded a ship to embark on his journey to save the country on June 5, 1911.

The second floor is dedicated to showcasing President Ho Chi Minh's journey to seek ways to save the country.

A painting of the ship Admiral Latouche-Tréville is hung on the second floor. On this ship, Uncle Ho set sail to France under the name Văn Ba to learn sophisticated and progressive ideas from Western countries.

On the right is a picture of house number 9, Compoint Lane (Paris, France), where President Ho Chi Minh (now named Nguyễn Ái Quốc) lived and worked from 1920 to 1923.

The attire and personal items of President Ho Chi Minh are reconstructed for display to visitors.

On significant holidays and President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, a large number of visitors come to explore the historical site. In 1988, house number 5 Châu Văn Liêm was recognized as a National Historical Monument.
