The Covid-19 situation in Vietnam is evolving extremely complex. The fourth wave of the outbreak began at the end of April 2021 with the first case in Yen Bai and has now spread to 59 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The peak number of infections can reach nearly 8,000 cases per day. As of the morning of July 29, Vietnam has recorded 123,640 cases. The new domestic infections in the fourth wave of the outbreak total 119,863 cases. Ho Chi Minh City is currently the hotspot of the fourth wave with 77,956 confirmed cases announced by the Ministry of Health as of July 28.

*Note: F1 individuals currently quarantined at centralized quarantine facilities who wish to transfer to quarantine hotel services need to have negative test results for SARS-CoV 2. Afterward, they should contact the quarantine facility management unit to proceed with the transfer procedure to the quarantine hotel. The subsequent quarantine period only needs to cover the remaining days.
The mandatory quarantine period for arrivals in Vietnam is 14 days from the date of entry (except for cases of entry under different quarantine regulations by the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health). Arrivals need to continue monitoring their health at home or their accommodation for the following 14 days.
