Check the WmiPrvSE.exe Process
The first step in resolving CPU overload is to check WmiPrvSE.exe, this process is integrated into Windows and is responsible for troubleshooting computer issues across a network, but it often overfunctions.
Even Microsoft itself has warned users about this process, although it doesn't always consume CPU, but you should check it and if it's causing CPU overload, then turn it off.
Step 1: Right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager to open Task Manager.
Step 2: Look in the Processes section for any process running named WMI Provider Host, that's WmiPrvSE.exe and if it's consuming, then stop it following the instructions below.
