Right-click on the speaker icon > Select Sounds

Select Sounds.
Step 2:
When the Sounds interface appears > Select Playback

Step 3:
Now, you'll see the current sound output is the laptop speaker > click on the sound icon labeled TV to enable sound playback. In this article, Toshiba-TV is selected > then click Set Default > then OK to save.

Note:
If you don't see the TV icon, click on an empty space > Select Show disabled devices to list all connected devices.
Check the audio source.
In case you've already selected HDMI audio output but still have no sound, please check the following:
Is the TV muted (MUTE)?
Is the volume of the TV/laptop turned up?
Does the video clip/song have sound?
