Despite not ordering any dishes, the restaurant still brought out and charged for uneaten food.
Restaurant in Da Lat Accused by Foreign Customers of Overcharging
On August 7th, Ward 1 police in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province confirmed an incident where tourists were billed for uneaten food at the Da Lat night market.
The previous evening, two tourists from the UK and Thailand were dining at Hạnh Tâm restaurant, located in the staircase area of the Da Lat night market. They ordered two bowls of crab noodle soup, a plate of chicken salad, and a plate of chicken hearts. Despite not ordering anything else, the restaurant still brought out an extra plate of chicken (which the customers did not eat) and billed them a total of 460,000 VND for all the food.

After being asked by the restaurant to pay the aforementioned amount, the two tourists paid and then went to Ward 1 police station to report the incident.
Here, Ward 1 police documented the incident, and the owner of Hạnh Tâm restaurant later refunded the tourists 200,000 VND, stating that the total bill of 460,000 VND already included the extra plate of chicken served to the table.
