After thanking God Dionysus, the king went to test his wish. He touched a branch of an oak tree, and the branch turned into gold. This made him extremely delighted. Then he touched an apple, and like before, the apple also turned into gold.
Delighted with his wish, King Midas went everywhere in his palace, touching every object, and in an instant, the entire palace turned into glittering gold.
