Retell the story of An Dương Vương and Mị Châu - Trọng Thủy with a unique ending
Assignment:
An Dương Vương ruled the land of Âu Lạc, known as Thục Phán. He initiated the construction of a citadel in Việt Thường, but it remained incomplete for a long time. An Dương Vương then held a ritual, praying for divine assistance. Soon after, an elderly person from the east appeared, claiming that a celestial envoy would come to help the king build the citadel. Indeed, the next day, the king witnessed a Golden Tortoise that could speak, self-proclaimed as the celestial envoy. The king promptly brought it into the citadel. When inquired about the delayed construction, the Golden Tortoise explained about malevolent creatures hindering the progress, and they needed to be vanquished first. Subsequently, the Golden Tortoise assisted An Dương Vương in defeating the malevolent creatures and completing the construction of the citadel.
In just over half a month, the magnificent citadel, over a thousand meters tall, was completed. Its shape resembled a spiral shell, hence it became known as the Spiral Citadel, also known as Côn Lôn Citadel or Devil Dragon Citadel. After three years, the Golden Tortoise bid farewell to the king to fulfill its destiny. Before departing, the Golden Tortoise left its claw to An Dương Vương, advising him to use it as a bowstring. If invaders attacked, he could shoot arrows with it to repel them. Several years later, Triệu Vương, known as Triệu Đà, invaded with his army. The king used the divine bowstring to shoot arrows, causing a devastating defeat to the enemy forces, forcing them to retreat and seek peace.
However, Triệu Đà was cunning. He arranged for his son, Trọng Thủy, to court Mị Châu. An Dương Vương, seeing no need for suspicion, agreed. Furthermore, he allowed Trọng Thủy to reside in his court, unaware that he was a spy for the enemy. Trọng Thủy lived with Mị Châu for a short while, gaining her trust before persuading her to let him see the divine bowstring. Initially hesitant, Mị Châu, trusting Trọng Thủy, secretly showed it to him. Trọng Thủy, after examining the divine bowstring, immediately replaced it with a fake, resembling it exactly, and then made excuses to visit his father and return to his country. Before leaving, Trọng Thủy spoke with Mị Châu, cautioning her that if war broke out between their nations, they might not find each other. Mị Châu promised to scatter goose feathers along his path to guide Trọng Thủy back to her, ensuring their reunion as husband and wife.
