Recover Mac Password Using Keychain Access
Step 1: First, open Keychain Access, by accessing the Applications folder =>Utilities. Or another way is to enter Keychain Access in the Spotlight search box (open Spotlight by pressing Command + Spacebar).
Step 2: In the Keychain Access window, make sure that All Items in the Category section is selected. In this window, you will see a list of all passwords, certificates, and keys stored on your Mac displayed here.
Step 3: Access to items is often locked (displayed with a padlock icon in the top left corner). Simply click on the padlock icon, then enter the Admin password and click OK.
Step 4: Enter the name of the app or website with the password you want to find in the search box at the top right corner. For example, to view the Facebook password, enter Facebook in the Search box to display all relevant results. Select a password you want, then click on the i button at the bottom corner of the window.
Step 5: The next window on the screen will display details of specific items, such as name, type of password (website password, app password, ...) and other account details, all displayed in the Attributes tab. At the bottom corner of the window, check the Show password box to view the password in plain text, allowing you to easily recover your Mac password using Keychain Access.
Step 6: You will be asked to enter the Admin password to unlock the item and view the detailed information. Your task is to enter the Mac's Admin password, then click Allow to continue.
Step 7: After completing the process, you will return to the previous window, where all details, including the password in plain text, will be displayed. Note the password and store it in a safe place to view and use the password in case you forget it.
