iPhones and other smartphones today come equipped with useful voice recording features. However, iPhones lack expandable storage options unlike Android phones.

1. Retrieving voice recordings from iPhone and using messaging, social media apps for file transfer.
Step 1: Open the Voice Recorder app and access the recording. Then, tap on the share icon and select the messaging option to share the audio file via multimedia messaging service (MMS).
Step 2: If you prefer sharing through social media platforms like Messenger, Zalo, Skype, etc., swipe horizontally in the sharing menu and select 'Add.' Then, toggle on the respective social media apps for sharing.
Step 3: For instance, when sharing via Messenger, simply select any contact, and the audio file will be automatically shared with that contact as a .m4a file.
2. Retrieving audio files via 3uTools software
Before installing 3uTools, you need to have iTunes software installed on your device.

Step 1: After downloading and installing 3uTools, connect your iPhone to the computer and open the software. Then, select Files => Recordings as shown below.
Step 2: After opening the Recordings folder, you will find the .m4a file.
Step 3: Right-click on the file and choose Export to save the file to your computer.
Step 4: Choose the destination folder for exporting the file (select Desktop for easy access), then press OK.
Step 5: The software will ask if you want to create a separate folder. If you want to create a separate folder, select Create; otherwise, select Don’t Create.
Step 6: After creating the folder, select Open Folder to open the folder containing the audio file.
Step 7: Your audio file is now on the Desktop. You can open it using media player software on your computer.
