While discussing his return to DK, Nuguri also mentions his time at FPX.
Just a few days ago, DWG KIA officially announced Nuguri's return. This is a necessary addition for DK, especially at the current moment to prepare for LCK Summer 2022. In the Spring 2022 split, DK's top lane wasn't particularly strong compared to other players like Zeus (T1), Kiin (Kwangdong Freecs), or Rascal (KT Rolster).
As the top-quality top laner in the League of Legends scene, it's regrettable that Nuguri rested throughout the entire Spring Split. Especially when LCK is experiencing a shortage of high-quality top laners who can meet the demands in terms of skills and experience. Although Zeus has performed fairly well, he's still a young player, having only played his first season as a starter and lacks international experience.

In an interview during his return to DK this time, Nuguri received many questions about his time playing for FunPlus Phoenix. The former FPX star affirmed that he moved to China too hastily when he still lacked a lot of experience and skills. However, Nuguri also stated that he never regretted moving to China to compete.

Discussing Nuguri and FPX's achievements in the brief 2021 season, Nuguri shared: 'I used to believe that if I played well, I could carry the team and FPX could win. But I failed to do so. I didn't perform well. I feel like I'm declining every day. Sometimes, I play like a blind man. My teammates didn't deserve to be eliminated so early in Worlds.'

This return of Nuguri comes amidst significant changes in the League of Legends world compared to the end of the 2021 season. With the return to the old home, where DK is no longer dominant, and T1 is becoming a perfect team day by day, Nuguri faces a significant challenge. If he performs well, helps DK get revenge against T1, and brings home the title, he will regain everything he lost. On the other hand, the scenario of the previous season might replay, and then the pressure on the former world champion of 2020 will only intensify.
