In 2017, alongside the introduction of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus with a design reminiscent of the previous iPhone generation, Apple also launched an experimental device – the iPhone X. It not only featured a groundbreaking design but also a price tag that brought about certain risks.
Following a successful market exploration, Apple took more assured steps in unveiling its new products.

According to predictions from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kou of KGI, in 2018, Apple would release three iPhone models: an upgraded version of the iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED display, an iPhone X Plus with a 6.5-inch OLED display, and a budget-friendly iPhone X with a 6.1-inch LCD display. All set to debut in September 2018.
Among the upcoming iPhone models, the budget-friendly iPhone X, equipped with a 6.1-inch LCD display, is likely to capture more attention due to its promise of delivering a 'trendy' product at an affordable price. Recently, a rendered image, believed to be the upcoming iPhone X 6.1 inch, has been showcased by the tech platform BGR, revealing some noteworthy features of this soon-to-be-released budget iPhone.
Specifically, the 6.1-inch iPhone X exhibits a borderless design reminiscent of the current iPhone X, enclosing the iconic notch and bidding farewell to the physical Home button. This indicates that Face ID will be the sole unlocking method for this new iPhone generation. However, possibly due to the use of an LCD screen, the bottom edge of the iPhone X 6.1 inch appears slightly thicker than the current iPhone X.

On the rear side, significant changes are evident in the current iPhone X as the dual cameras are replaced by a single camera. This aligns well with the direction this smartphone is heading – the mid-range smartphone market. Additionally, reports suggest that this is the first generation of iPhones to omit Apple's 3D Touch functionality.
In general, it's still too early to confirm anything, but undoubtedly, this affordable iPhone is poised to bring a breath of fresh air to the market, at least in Apple's perspective as the producer specializing in flagship smartphones.
