Similar to Apple, Samsung doesn't heavily prioritize charging technology for their Galaxy smartphones and tablets. As a result, the latest flagship devices from the South Korean company currently support a maximum charging power of 45W.
This is likely to remain unchanged by the end of this year with the Galaxy Tab S9 series, if the latest leak proves accurate.
Certification for Galaxy Tab S9 PlusAccording to reports, both the Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have appeared in the TUV Rheinland certification and testing database. Both tablets have been certified safe for fast charging. The Galaxy Tab S9+ comes with model numbers SM-X816B, SM-X810, and SM-X816N, while the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is found with model numbers SM-X916B, SM-X910, and SM-X916N. Both tablets seemingly feature 45W fast charging (10V/4.5A), similar to their predecessors.
Certification for Galaxy Tab S9 UltraSamsung acknowledges that the Galaxy Tab S9 series might not come bundled with a charger in the retail box. Although the standard Galaxy Tab S9 is yet to be certified, it is highly likely to also support 45W fast charging like the other two models in the lineup. All three premium tablets are expected to be launched later this year alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
Galaxy Tab S8 seriesBased on leaked images, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is expected to adopt a design similar to the Galaxy Tab S8 series. They will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC, 8GB/12GB of RAM, storage options of 128GB/256GB/512GB, and a magnetic S Pen. The Galaxy Tab S9 series is also rumored to boast an OLED display with a variable 120Hz refresh rate and a high-quality quad-speaker setup.
