From what we know so far, the Pixel 8 Pro is set to be an impressive upgrade over its predecessor with temperature sensors, intelligent processors, and exquisite design. Today, information about its camera has just been shared.
Specifically, developer Kamila Wojciechowska has just disclosed that the Pixel 8 series will receive remarkable system enhancements. According to reports, both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will utilize the ISOCELL GN2 as the main camera sensor. This represents a noteworthy improvement over the previous GN1 sensor.
This sensor will help the Pixel 8 Pro capture 35% more light compared to the Pixel 7 Pro, thereby improving low-light image quality and offering faster shutter speeds while reducing motion blur. Google's next flagship camera also supports 8K/30fps video recording.
Rumor has it, the Pixel 8 Pro will also feature a 'more user-friendly' ultra-wide camera. While Pixel 7 Pros were equipped with the old 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor and were forgotten on the ultrawide front, the upcoming flagship might opt for the new 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor. It's considerably larger and will enhance the device's ultra-wide photography capabilities.
