The projector does not support video file playback, but it features an HDMI port and supports MHL for Android phones.

Performance of Asus S1
Compared to some other mini projectors on the market, the Asus S1 offers a significantly better image experience even though the resolution is the same. When projecting text, circular shapes may appear slightly jagged, but when watching videos, it performs quite well, with sharpness equivalent to older generation TVs.
The brightness of 200 lumens may not seem impressive at first glance, but in reality, it delivers surprisingly good results. It can project well even in bright conditions, but to ensure the best sharpness, it's still advisable to carefully shield from excessive light.
Experiencing the Asus S1 with the movie 'Doctor Strange,' the image quality is quite good, with neutral colors looking very pleasing, without any over-saturation. The black levels are slightly lighter, and the image is somewhat flatter, but with the advantage of brightness, everything is more agreeable. Another advantage is the relatively short projection distance; at a distance of 1 meter, you'll get around a 41-inch screen, which is quite good.
The 2W sound is much larger than many of its competing counterparts, which are mostly 1W. Of course, it's said to be better, but in reality, its output sound quality is not excessively remarkable; you still need to connect an external speaker to it for better sound quality.
Should you buy the Asus S1 mini projector or not?
Overall, the Asus S1 is a compact travel projector that is quite good. With 200 lumens brightness, it's one of the brightest mini projectors in its segment. Its black levels may not be the best, but with natural colors, short projection distance, and good battery life, it's still worth considering.
On the other hand, this projector also has an interesting additional feature: it can reverse charge mobile phones. However, this feature is only 'interesting' at best, as in reality, hardly anyone ever uses it.
Advantages:
- Good brightness and short projection distance allow the projector to be used in various situations, maximizing the value of this projector.
Disadvantages:
- The limited black levels restrict image quality accordingly.
- HDMI is the only connection available; there are no wireless connections, so the convenience level is not quite perfect.
- At a price of 12 million VND, it's relatively high; careful consideration is needed before purchasing.
