• Measurement time: 1 hour.
• Screen brightness 100%, volume 70%, and battery saving mode turned off.
• Keyboard backlight enabled.
• Bluetooth connection enabled for keyboard and USB mouse connected.

- Scenario 2: Performing regular tasks with 20 minutes of gaming:

• Battery life: 1 hour 22 minutes.
• Measurement time: 1 hour.
• Screen brightness 100%, volume 70%, and battery saving mode turned off.
• Keyboard backlight enabled.
• Bluetooth connection enabled for keyboard and USB mouse connected.

Following the test, I assessed the battery life of ASUS Vivobook 14 X1404VA to be quite impressive, especially considering its 42 Wh capacity. Even under such high-energy demanding tasks, the device still maintains over 5 hours of usage for regular tasks, demonstrating clear efficiency in energy optimization from ASUS. Under daily usage scenarios with lighter settings, ASUS Vivobook 14 X1404VA can provide around 3-4 hours of continuous usage for basic tasks like web browsing, social media, and document editing.

Furthermore, I also used the HWiNFO64 software to assess the thermal performance of ASUS Vivobook 14 X1404VA, and the results I obtained are as follows:

Regarding the cooling capability of ASUS Vivobook 14 X1404VA, the device demonstrates effective heat dissipation. It only experiences slight warmth in the keyboard area during heavy tasks, gaming, or excessive multitasking, but it doesn't significantly affect the user experience. The CPU and GPU temperatures, measured during the test, maintain around 75 degrees and 68 degrees, respectively, which are relatively stable figures for a thin and lightweight laptop with limited cooling system. The device's cooling fan is also not noisy, and you can adjust the fan speed in the MyASUS software.
