Charging Case
Overall, the Haylou true wireless earbuds feature a simple design. The charging case, with its familiar square with rounded corners, is compact, lightweight, and weighs under 40g. It comes in a dark blue (or white) matte plastic with the Haylou logo printed on top.
The front panel has a long groove for easy opening, surrounded by magnets for effortless closure. Inside the case, there's a designated spot for the earbuds with automatic charging functionality. Below that, there's a slot with 3 LED lights indicating the battery status.
The most important feature is the Type-C charging port located at the back, which is truly practical. I dislike it when they place it at the bottom like the QCY T11 and other models, especially on wireless charging cases.
Earbuds
Now, we're moving on to the sleek true wireless earbuds by Haylou W1 with a compact design and glossy black (or white) color featuring the Haylou logo printed on the outside of the earbuds. The most important aspect is its lightweight design, weighing only about 4g for comfortable wear and stability during movement. The soft silicone ear tips with a round hole reduce pressure inside the earbuds, balancing air pressure indoors and outdoors while providing ventilation.
Additionally, the 'L' and 'R' logos are printed at the bottom of each earbud to distinguish between the left and right sides. Nearby are the magnetic charging contacts and the microphone pickup slot, ensuring clear sound recording during calls with external noise reduction support. This, combined with the microphone, accurately distinguishes between human voices and background noise.
Control Mechanism
For control, the touch-sensitive control panel is placed on the top of the earbud stem with LED indicator lights, allowing precise control with highly sensitive touch sensitivity.

- Press R twice to skip to the next track
- Press L or R three times to activate voice assistant
- Press L twice to go back to the previous track
Unfortunately, you can't adjust the volume directly from the earbuds and also can't go back to the previous song.
Waterproof Capability
These Haylou W1 earbuds have an IPX4 waterproof rating, protecting them from rain and sweat but not suitable for complete submersion in water to avoid damage. They accompany you for long periods and provide comfortable and efficient use in any sport, environment, or activity.
Sound Quality of Haylou W1
The Haylou W1 earbuds deliver outstanding sound effects, with clearly defined tones, powerful bass, and crisp highs for perfect performance across the spectrum, offering better soundstage, rich sound, and excellent quality. The earbuds excel with high clarity across all music genres.
Call Quality
One of Haylou W1's strengths is its noise-cancellation technology, managed by 2 microphones on each earbud, one at the top and one at the bottom. The top noise-reduction hole captures environmental noise while using the CVC8.0 call noise reduction algorithm to further reduce surrounding noise during calls, ensuring clear sound. Therefore, the sound quality here is satisfying as it's not overly muffled or distorted, although it doesn't mean there's no background noise at all.
Battery Life
Regarding battery life, the Haylou W1 earbuds' charging case is equipped with a built-in 310mAh lithium polymer battery, allowing the storage case itself to charge for 3 hours, then the earbuds can be recharged 3-4 times, providing 4-5 hours of usage on a single charge for 1-2 hours. It can add 12 hours with the charging case, with a total time of 16 hours. The case charges via type-C on the side of the case, although charging time is a bit long.
Conclusion
At this price point, sound quality is one of the key factors in choosing earbuds, as these Haylou W1s are equipped with large 7mm drivers to deliver powerful bass and highly authentic mid-range. Therefore, with good and balanced sound, they are generally excellent earbuds, especially when considering the price.
