This is my review of the HP Pavilion 15-cs2120TX laptop. I bought it for over 15 million VND. Hope this review proves useful for anyone considering a purchase. Feel free to drop any questions in the comments.
So, my Dell Inspiron laptop decided to retire after over 10 years of service. I made the decision to get a new one to take its place. My criteria remained focused on running Windows, lightweight, sleek design, sufficient configuration for basic office tasks, online work, and occasional light Photoshop. Since I primarily use a PC in the office, portability was a priority. The specifications of this laptop are as follows:
- Equipped with a Core i5-8265U CPU and upgraded with an 8GB DDR4 RAM stick.
- Features a spacious 1TB HDD (with an M.2 PCIe SSD slot for future upgrades if needed).
- Featuring a playful Nvidia MX130 with 2GB GDDR5, perfect for some gaming fun.
- Equipped with basic Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac connectivity.
- Boasting a lucrative 15.6-inch Full HD display, providing a delightful visual experience.
How I use it
As mentioned earlier, I primarily use it for office tasks, online meetings, and light Photoshop tinkering...Design, Appearance & Size
The machine's design is refreshingly simple and basic, which happens to be my favorite aspect. It caught my eye instantly, and I made my choice (my bulky Dell always becomes a target for teasing in the office). The colors are subtle with plenty of options. This time, I opted for a bright hue as shown in the picture, breaking away from my usual loyalty to black. The dimensions of 361x245x18 are quite standard for laptop models, providing a fundamental yet practical size.Battery Life
The laptop is equipped with a 3-cell battery, providing over 4 hours of continuous usage depending on the applications, meeting my needs perfectly. (Ample for a lengthy meeting)The device also remains pleasantly cool during extended use.Display and Speakers
One standout feature of this laptop is its nearly 16-inch Full HD display. It's visually appealing, non-glare, and offers excellent viewing angles. The slim screen bezels are an added bonus, enhancing the overall allure of the display. Its speakers boast Bang & Olufsen audio technology, delivering an acceptable audio experience. I don't demand much from laptop speakers, and these do the job decently.Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard boasts an attractive design, including a numeric keypad, with good key responsiveness. However, it's a bit wide, making it a bit challenging to get used to initially. One nice touch is the inclined keyboard, making it both easy to look at and type on. This design feature is thanks to its clever hinge and screen-edge design, lifting the keyboard when opened. Nevertheless, it gives a fragile impression and feels a bit delicate. The bright-colored keyboard of this laptop initially looks stunning, but after some use, it tends to accumulate dirt—probably because I'm a bit lazy on the cleaning front.Pricing
Personally, I find it quite appealing after several months of use. The laptop offers a balanced configuration for office tasks, with its lightweight, slim, and aesthetically pleasing design. It's not overly delicate and doesn't heat up excessively with prolonged use. Worth considering for those in office environments, students, and more. This review is all in good spirits.
