Although resembling the HTC U11 Plus, the HTC U11 Life is actually slightly smaller with dimensions of 149.1 x 72.9 x 8.1mm (compared to the HTC U11 Plus's 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm), and of course, lighter by 46 grams with a weight of only 142 grams.
The reason is that the frame of the HTC U11 Life is made of plastic instead of metal like its flagship counterparts. Nevertheless, the Liquid Surface finish provides a glossy appearance, making it hard to tell that the frame of the HTC U11 Life is made of plastic without actually feeling it.
Instead of being equipped with Super LCD6 like the U11 Plus, HTC has equipped the U11 Life with Gorilla Glass 3 – a type of glass used in many mid-range smartphones today with decent display capabilities and good scratch resistance, though not comparable to flagship materials like AMOLED or IPS LCD...

The HTC U11 Life features a slightly smaller screen size of 5.2 inches, although it does not achieve 2K display like the HTC U11 Plus, the device still offers HD 1080p display with a pixel density of up to 424ppi – leading the pack when compared to other smartphones in the same price range.
The device achieves a maximum brightness of 546cd/m2 and a sunlight contrast ratio of 1529, which is average, still decent but not particularly impressive under strong sunlight.

3. Battery life of the HTC U11 Life
The U11 Life's battery is not particularly impressive with only a 2600 mAh capacity, and it lacks the Quick Charge fast charging technology found in the HTC U11 or U11 Plus. However, the 10W charger allows the device to reach 35% charge in just 30 minutes.
Despite having a smaller battery, thanks to the Snapdragon 630 chip with lower processing power and energy consumption, the U11 Life even boasts a longer standby time than the HTC U11 Plus, lasting up to 73 hours, with continuous 3G talk time of 21 hours, and nearly 8 hours of continuous video playback. It's a significant improvement over the HTC U11 Plus and meets the needs of various user groups quite well.
