Performance of Oppo Reno Phone
Regarding the configuration, the Oppo Reno phone uses the Snapdragon 710 chip with 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM, so users don't need to worry about the device's capacity. For basic tasks like reading news or watching movies, the device operates smoothly and seamlessly.
However, when it comes to gaming, the Oppo Reno phone can handle heavy games if graphics settings are lowered to medium. Of course, compared to other smartphones on the market, this configuration is now considered lower-end, suitable only for basic games.
Oppo Reno Phone Camera
The selfie camera boasts a 16MP resolution and is equipped with LED lighting for low-light photography. The main rear camera features a 48MP resolution paired with a Sony IMX 586 sensor, while the auxiliary 5MP camera supports portrait mode.
In well-lit conditions during the day, the Oppo Reno phone produces exceptionally good quality photos, with wide color range, clear details, and vibrant colors. In backlight conditions, the camera also performs well, recognizing and processing bright and dark areas reasonably well, resulting in visually appealing photos.
In low light or nighttime conditions, the photos captured are acceptable, but there may be image noise and color inconsistencies. To overcome this, you can switch to the dedicated night mode, which balances colors and details more effectively.
However, in this mode, it's necessary to hold the phone for about 4 seconds to allow the camera to expose properly, and naturally, this mode isn't ideal for capturing moving subjects.
The selfie camera's ability is beyond reproach. In terms of photo quality, besides offering various beauty modes, the resulting photos are sharp and vivid, even when shooting against the light.
VERDICT: Is OPPO Reno still worth buying?
Currently, the availability of brand-new OPPO Reno units is very limited, with mainly refurbished or second-hand devices dominating the market. Based on our research, the first-generation OPPO Reno is currently priced at around 3-7 million VND, which is relatively affordable in today's market.
At this price point, it's evident that the first-generation OPPO Reno still offers great value. However, since these are used devices, users should thoroughly inspect them before purchase, especially the selfie camera system and battery, to avoid potential issues during usage.
