In the middle of 2022, Nokia introduced the Nokia G21 to Vietnamese users, which was one of the top-notch phones in the mid-range segment at that time. Nokia G21 Still Packs a Punch with Unisoc T606 Processor
Before delving deeper, let's summarize the specifications of the Nokia G21 for everyone's convenience!
- Display: 6.5-inch size, LCD panel, HD+ resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate support.
- CPU: Unisoc T606.
- RAM: 4 GB.
- Internal Storage: 128 GB.
- Rear Camera: 50 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP.
- Front Camera: 8 MP.
- Battery Capacity: 5,050 mAh, supports 18 W fast charging.

For me, the Unisoc T606 may not be as powerful as Qualcomm or MediaTek chips, but it's a good processor that meets all the basic needs of users. In my 10 months of usage, the Nokia G21 has been able to meet almost all my basic needs like messaging on Messenger, browsing Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and even gaming.

While the user experience may not be as smooth as many other high-end smartphones, for me, the Nokia G21 is a good choice in the mid-range category. Everything is extremely balanced. So, let's rate the performance of the Nokia G21 after 10 months to understand it better!
Rating Nokia G21 Performance After 10 Months
Like any other review, first, I'll rate the performance of the Nokia G21 after 10 months so you can see the current strength of the device through numbers. Here, I'll use specialized software like GeekBench 5, 3DMark, and PCMark to rate the performance of the Nokia G21 under the following familiar test conditions:
- The battery of the Nokia G21 must be between 90 - 100% (battery below 90% will affect the performance of the device).
- Do not charge the battery while rating.
- Rate 3 times consecutively and take the average result after 3 ratings.

Firstly, in the GeekBench 5 and PCMark software, the results I obtained were quite satisfactory and not much different from some current competitors in the same segment, and even better than 10 months ago. The specific results are as follows:
- GeekBench 5:
- Single-Core/Multi-Core Score: 314/1,203
- GPU Compute Score: 515.
- PCMark: 7,904 points.

Continuing with the performance evaluation of the Nokia G21 after 10 months, I'll now move on to the 3DMark application with the opening test being Wild Life. In this test, the Nokia G21 scored a total of 401 with an average frame rate of 2.40 FPS. Perhaps this is still a relatively light test as the device's temperature remains almost unchanged (32 degrees Celsius) and the battery level remains at 99%. You can also view the specific scores through the screenshots of the results below.

Finally, we come to the most demanding test, the Wild Life Extreme Stress Test (repeated continuously 20 times). You can see the results below and please pay attention to help me with the Stability aspect!

The result of this test is quite good, with a score of 404. The battery level during the test only dropped slightly by 3% (from 99% to 96%). This result of the Nokia G21 is not much different from many other newly launched phones. Especially, the stability is very high at nearly 98.3%, where the difference between the highest loop score and the lowest loop score is only 7 points (404 - 397 = 7 points). The temperature also only slightly increased (from 32°C to 34°C) and the battery dropped by 3% (from 99% to 96%), so the optimization capability of Nokia is considered very good.

And that concludes the performance scores of the Nokia G21 after 10 months. These are very stable scores for an affordable phone that has been on the market for nearly a year, so users can rest assured. However, these are just reference scores, and real-world experience is still the most important. So, let's move on to the gaming performance on the Nokia G21!
Nokia G21 Still Performs Well in Gaming after 10 Months
To answer the question above, I have selected 4 popular games nowadays: Arena of Valor, Free Fire, Play Together, and Zing Speed Mobile to conduct the gaming performance test of the Nokia G21 for you to have a more specific understanding. Assisting me in this test is the PerfDog application, and I will provide detailed results here for everyone to refer to!

- Arena of Valor
Starting off with the game that needs no introduction - Arena of Valor. In this game, I was able to push the graphics to nearly the highest level to achieve the smoothest gaming experience.
After setting up and getting into the game, I had some doubts about potential lag and delay, but fortunately, the Nokia G21 didn't experience much, just occasional slight stuttering. Especially during intense battles, the device still played the game smoothly, and the FPS stability remained around 59.3. If you want a higher number, you can reduce the game graphics slightly.
- Free Fire
Now onto another hot game nowadays, Free Fire, with this game, I can totally push the graphics to the highest level for a great experience.

Living up to my expectations, gaming feels smooth and seamless, all actions like shooting, running, and picking up weapons are performed smoothly. Although the smooth feeling is there initially, after extended play, the device may experience slight stuttering and warmth, causing the FPS to fluctuate slightly, averaging 54.9.
- Zing Speed Mobile
Next up is another equally famous game - Zing Speed Mobile. In this game, I pushed the graphics to the highest level and set the frame rate to Very High (equivalent to 90 FPS) for a smooth racing experience.

The results were quite surprising as the Nokia G21 was able to maintain a frame rate of 89.9 FPS. Although there were occasional slight FPS drops, overall, it didn't affect the racing experience much. I found that both the image quality and frame rate were well represented by the device at this graphics setting.
- Play Together
Next up is a very popular game that many young people have been loving recently - Play Together. In this game, I will provide the specific graphics settings below for your reference!

Just like with every game, the Nokia G21 still performs quite well in Play Together with an average FPS of 42.7. There were a few sudden drops, especially when I joined the 'Game Party' and died. However, overall, this phone still serves very well. I hardly experienced any delays or screen freezes, so I believe you'll have a similar experience with this game as I did!
In summary, after 10 months, the Nokia G21 still provides a pretty good gaming experience. Except for a few overly heavy games that might strain this Nokia smartphone, it has met the basic gaming needs quite well.
Nokia G21 with its 5,050mAh battery still offers long gaming sessions even after 10 months
Not only performance, but my favorite aspect of Nokia devices in general, and the Nokia G21 in particular, is the battery life. Specifically, the phone is equipped with a large 5,050mAh battery for long continuous usage for many hours. Therefore, in this test, I will continue playing the 4 games mentioned earlier to see how long it takes for the Nokia G21 to drain its battery when playing just one game continuously.
Before starting, let me share the test conditions for the Nokia G21:
- Playing only 1 game until the device runs out of battery.
- Screen brightness set to 100%, with a 90Hz refresh rate.
- External speaker turned on with volume set to 50%.
- Wi-Fi and social media notifications enabled.
- No battery saver, adaptive brightness, GPS, or Bluetooth enabled.
- Testing from 100% battery until 0%.
The results I obtained are as follows:

- Liên Quân Mobile: 5 hours 50 minutes.
- Free Fire: 6 hours 31 minutes.
- Play Together: 5 hours 55 minutes.
- Zing Speed Mobile: 5 hours 40 minutes.
The results achieved on the Nokia G21 after 10 months still leave me satisfied with its 5,050mAh battery. Most games lasted over 5 hours of usage, with Free Fire standing out at 6 hours 31 minutes. This indicates that my graphics settings for the games were quite reasonable. Alternatively, if you want to extend the playtime, you can slightly reduce the graphics settings. However, this is only for reference, as you can enjoy longer gaming sessions if you use the phone under normal conditions with appropriate graphics settings for each game.
Conclusion
Based on the tests conducted, Nokia G21 remains one of the best budget devices to buy at present, showcasing good and sufficient performance. It demonstrates Nokia's excellent optimization, ensuring consistent performance and long-term usage even after nearly 10 months since its release. Currently, the product is available at Mytour for 4.290 million VND (price subject to change depending on promotional programs).
